Bridgeport, NJ – Action packed heat races produced the top ten rankings in passing points to transfer ten more drivers to each of the main events in Sunday’s Danny Serrano Skyscraper Micro Sprint Spectacular!
Two sets of heat races were run for both the Hyper Racing EVO Injection 600s and the 270 Micro sprints. The line-ups were inverted for the second set of heat races. Two sets of six heat races were run for the 600s while two sets of four heat races were used for the 270s.
At the end of the day, only two time Skyscraper winner, Matt Smith and Kyle Lick were able to win both of their heat races. They topped the passing point rankings in a tie for first. Also transferring to Sunday’s forty lap main event were Kenny Miller III, Connor Gross, Damon Paul, Alex Bright, Eddie Strada, Briggs Danner, Christian Bruno and John Barnett. These drivers will join Tommy Kunsman, Luke Thomas and Colin White who won their spots in Friday night timed laps and the Winner’s feature.
270 action saw Pat Bealer top the passing points followed by Alex Swift, Tyler Reinhardt, Nick Skias, Jacob Hendershot, Andrew Locuson, Glenn Macomber, Shea Wills, Kyle Weiss and Pete Skias. Tommy Kunsman, Ross Perchak and Lee Reinhardt had already transferred through Friday night action.
The final qualifying opportunities will start out the racing program on Sunday with heats and consolations used to fill the starting field.
The All Star Slingshots raced in their third Poker Series event of the season with Amanda Angstadt winning both the heat and the feature – her sixth feature win at Spirit Auto Center Speedway of the 2020 season. 2020 Slingshot Champion, Ryan Davey finished second followed by Michael Beckett, Scott Phillip, Shawn Mowery and Gavin Danner.
