Bridgeport, NJ – JC Welding and Fabrication sponsored the Friday night action on the Spirit Auto Center quarter mile of the Bridgeport Motorsports Park.  Olivia Haworth added her name to the list of winners this season as she raced to the win in the Hyper Racing 600 Micro Sprints.  Alex Swift (9), PJ Bozowski (3) and Jack Jarvis (8) added to their 2024 season win totals on the most recent Fast and Furious Friday night.

Haworth took the lead as Kevin Golden waved the green flag on the Hyper Racing 600 feature.   Defending champion, Matt Smith, two-time winners, Chris Fenimore and PJ Williams had quite a battle for second with Fenimore ultimately winning the spot after several laps of wheel-to-wheel racing.
At half way, Haworth had stretched out her lead over Fenimore, Williams, Smith and Geordan Marerro.
The first and only yellow flag of the race came with seventeen laps complete for Gary Bozowski and the Cobbs Mill No. 10G.
Haworth was flawless on the restart and raced to her first win of season.  Fenimore finished second followed by Williams, Anthony Tramontana and Geordan Marerro.  Sam LaMothe finished sixth followed by Ethan Simpson, Wayne Scott, Dustin Tyler and Matt Smith who slowed on the final laps.
Haworth became the ninth different winner in Hyper Racing 600 action at Spirit this season.
Alex Swift continued his winning ways in the 270 Micro Sprints.  Swift drew the pole for the start and led every lap to the checkered for his ninth Spirit win of the season.  Andrew Locuson ran in second during the early laps before Lee Nardelli raced into the runner-up spot on a lap three restart.  Nardelli was later sidelined with mechanical issues and Kenny Andreas chased Swift to the checkered.
At the end of twenty laps, it was Swift, Andreas and Luke Fogg.
After weeks of frustration with mechanical issues, two-time Speedway Entertainment All Star Slingshot feature winner,
PJ Bozowski collected his third win of the season.  Bozowski drew the pole and led every one of the laps of the twenty lap feature but he had Brayden Morrison breathing down his neck for most of the race.  Oakley brought out the caution on lap eighteen and the field was realigned for a single file restart.
Bozowski was flawless as he raced to the win over Morrison, past champion,  Ryan Davey, Scott Philipp and Kristofer Serran.  Joe Shone, Oakley, Todd Martin, Dave Morrell and John Kohler crossed the finish line in sixth through tenth.
Austin Walls led the way in the Junior Slingshot feature event, leading for the first five laps before Jack Jarvis took the lead and then raced away from the field.
There was plenty of action behind the leaders as the top five and ten positions were hotly contested.
Jarvis took the win over Walls, Hannah Kormann, Carter Mullins and David Morrison.  Cody Williamson finished sixth with Charlie Moore, Riley Maguire, Gage Marerro and Gavin Marrero completing the top ten.
Fast and Furious Friday returns this week with 600 and 270 Micro Sprints and the All Star and Junior Slingshots.
