WO-Spirit-Auto-Speedway-New-600-Micro-29--1
Bridgeport, NJ – PJ Williams raced to victory in the Hyper Racing-EVO Injection 600 Micro Sprints at the Spirit Auto Center Speedway on Friday night.  The Bridgeport Motorsports Park quarter mile was lightning fast as Williams advanced from his 17th place start to take the lead on lap nine of the twenty-five lap event to put the AJ Rogers No. 29 in Champion Victory Lane.
Lee Reinhardt raced ahead of defending champion, Alex Swift to capture the JT Fabrication 270 Micro Sprint twenty lap feature, becoming the fourth different winner in this division so far this season.  Michael Beckett earned his second win of the season in the Speedway Entertainment All Star Slingshots, racing ahead of leader, PJ Bozowski before the halfway mark of the twenty lap main event.  Jack Jarvis grabbed the lead at the start and drove to his second victory in the Junior Slingshot ranks, leading every lap along the way.
PJ Williams was elated to make a return to Victory Lane – his last win coming in August of 2021.  And he couldn’t say enough about the help that he had received from Pat Bealer and Tim Buckwalter’s TSL Shocks that enabled him to race from deep in the field to the front in just a few laps.  “These things (TSL Shocks) are unbelievable.” Williams exclaimed as he explained how he was able to make adjustments that made the No. 29 even better throughout the night.
Williams’ biggest hurdle was the black and orange No. 97 of Luke Thomas that raced into second on lap ten and then closed in on the race leader.   The final laps saw Thomas look to the outside and the inside to take the lead but Williams shut the door on the driver who is the winningest 600 racer in Spirit history.  They raced each other hard but clean as Williams led Thomas to the checkered.
Defending track champion, Matt Smith raced in third and let Thomas know he was there on several restarts.  The top three broke away from the rest of the field in the closing laps.
Gary Bozowski who flipped during his heat race, drove from his 24th place start to finish fourth in spectacular fashion, keeping the Cobbs Mill driver of the No. 10G in the thick of the point chase.  Connor Gross raced through the pack to finish fifth at the checkered flag.
There was plenty of three wide racing as positions fourth through tenth were being determined!
Brett Conkling finished sixth after leading the first five laps of the feature.  Anthony Tramontana raced among the top ten throughout the twenty-five laps to finish seventh followed by Bubba Hughes, Bobby Watkins in a Kenny Vincent owned team car to Thomas, and Wayne Scott.
Joe Dopke led the way through the first lap of the JT Fabrication 270 Micro Sprint Feature before Lee Reinhardt took the lead on the second time around the quarter mile.  Reinhardt started outside the second row and right behind his brother, Tyler who is a five time 270 Track Champion on the Spirit track.
Lee Reinhardt raced away from the field and was racing in heavy lapped traffic before the halfway mark.  Thirteen consecutive green flag laps allowed the leader to stretch his lead.  The race’s first caution came on lap fourteen when Lee Nardelli broke while racing in fourth.
Reinhardt led the way to the restart followed by Dopke and defending track champion, Alex Swift.  Swift took over second on lap sixteen but time had run out on Swift to mount a challenge against the leader.
Lee Reinhardt raced to his first win of the season and became the fourth different winner in 270 action this season.  Swift finished second, with Dopke crossing the line in third.  Nick Walton finished fourth with Nick Skias in fifth.  Tyler Reinhardt finished sixth followed by Tommy Rinck, Billy Gray, Jonathan John and John Wagner.
Michael Beckett became the first repeat winner in the Speedway Entertainment All Star Slingshots.  PJ Bozowski led the first eight laps of the contest before Beckett took the lead on a on a lap nine restart with the Black Horse Diner sponsored No. 22.  Brandon Oakley worked his way by Bozowski to finish second with the early race leader taking third.  Matt Kiefert finished fourth, holding off the challenges of Amanda Angstadt who finished fifth.
Jack Jarvis earned his second win of the season in the Junior Slingshot feature.  Jarvis joined Christopher Buffalino who also has a pair of wins so far this season.  David Morrison finished second followed by Carter Mullins in third in the fifteen lap main event.
All of these competitors return to action on the Spirit Auto Center quarter mile at the Bridgeport Motorsports Park for another four division event on Fast and Furious Friday.
